After several busy weeks including a trip to UMASS Amherst for the 2016 International Fish Passage Conference, where the American Littoral Society restoration team presented the Wreck Pond project, we are back again with our weekly updates. Spring adult herring sampling has wrapped up and juvenile fish sampling has begun. Several juvenile alewife were caught and observed during a field trip with Wall Township High School.

Now through fall, we will be seining Wreck Pond in search of juvenile alewife alternating Wednesday's and Friday's.

Next Friday, July 8 at 11 AM is our next sampling. Contact Zack Royle at
zack@littoralsociety.org for more information.
Construction of the remaining segment of fish passage is still on track to resume after Labor Day. About 140 feet of culvert has remains to be installed.
